How to Update the Fresh Cloud Client

Introduction

This document has been developed to assist Fresh Look IT customers update their Fresh Cloud Client

In order to use this guide you will require the following information and we are assuming you are using our Fresh Cloud based services on a Windows Operating System.

– Your Fresh Cloud login (Usually your Email Address)

– Your Fresh Cloud password (Usually the same as for your Email Address)

– You have the Fresh Cloud Client already installed on your Computer. If you are installing the Fresh Cloud Client for the first time please skip to Step 6

Before you begin, go grab a coffee and make yourself comfortable this process may take a few minutes

Step 1

Close (and save) ALL active documents

Step 2

Make sure you DO NOT have any active sync actions

– You can check this by Left clicking the Fresh Cloud Icon on your notification pane (near the clock on the bottom right of your screen usually)

– If you cant see this icon your notifications are most likely hidden, click the UP arrow near the notification panel

– Then left click the Fresh Cloud Icon

Sync-Task-GOOD[1]

– If you have any Sync task pending or currently in action either wait for it to finish or manually start the Sync task again by clicking the GREEN Play button

– Wait for the Sync to finish and then check that all tasks are now Synced

– If you still have remaining Sync tasks after the manual Sync please contact the Fresh Team to assist with the issue

Step 3

Close any other applications you have open, your computer will need to be restarted later in this guide.

Step 4

Open Control Panel

The following is shown for Windows 7 users

– Click Start and then click Control Panel

OR

– Click Start and in the Search Box type ‘Control Panel’. Click Control Panel once the results are displayed

The following is shown for Windows 8 users

– First open the Charms and click Settings

– Second click on Control Panel

OR

– Open the Control Panel by searching for it in the Metro User Interface

Step 5

Uninstall the Fresh Cloud Team Client

– If your icons are listed by category click Uninstall a Program Under the Programs icon

– If your icons are listed by Small/Large Icons open Programs and Features

– In the list click Fresh Cloud Team Client and then click Uninstall

– A warning may appear, Click Yes

– Restart your Computer after a successful uninstall

Step 6

Check your Operating System version, it will be either 32 Bit or 64 Bit

– Open Windows Explorer by clicking on the Windows explorer button on your task bar OR use the key combination ‘Windows Key+E’

– Right Click ‘This PC’ for Windows 8 or ‘Computer’ for Windows 7

– Click Properties from the drop down menu

– This opens up the System Properties of your Computer, in here you can see what System Type you have. It will be either 32 Bit or 64 Bit

Step 7

– Go to the Fresh Cloud Login page at https://access.freshfileserver.com.au and log in with your Fresh Cloud log in details.

– Click the Download link on the right hand side of the page

– Select the version that is suitable for your Operating System that you have obtained from Step 5 and click GO

Click Run on the Pop up. This may appear at the top of the page or the bottom of the page

After the download is finished the Fresh Cloud Installer will appear, now you can start the install Process

– Click Next on the first window

– Click ‘I Agree’ and then click ‘Next’ on the second window

 

– Click Next on the third window

– Wait for the Fresh Cloud Team Client to finish installing on the forth window

– Click ‘Close’ on the fifth window. If the installation is unsuccessful please contact the Fresh Team for assistance

Step 12

After a successful installation you will need to restart your Computer to finalize this set-up

Step 13

When you Computer has restarted and you log into Windows the Fresh Cloud login page will appear. Add in your login details and click ‘Login’

A verification window will pop up while you get authenticated. If this is unsuccessful check your details are correct. Otherwise contact the Fresh Team for help logging in
